踏入新學年，相信不少科大同學除了購買各類文儀用品和書本外，也會計劃購買手提電腦以應付大學生活。我們學生會清楚各位同學的需要：電腦對上課學習或宿舍娛樂亦是非常重要的。經過多個月的籌備及蹉商，我們將會在這個暑假舉行電腦優惠計劃，盡力為同學們爭取更經濟的折扣優惠，並篩選出性價比較高的電腦供同學在校園購買。本年度的學生會電腦節已完成招標，將有4個品牌參與我們的計劃，包括蘋果，戴爾，聯想和微軟。詳細型號及價格將於稍後公佈，請密切留意學生會Facebook專頁及科大電郵。

Entering the new academic year, we believe that many HKUST students would like to buy a laptop computer or tablet for learning or entertainment in addition to stationery and textbooks. We, the HKUST Students’ Union understand the need. After months of preparation and a number of negotiations, we are going to hold the Electronics Fiesta to all students in this summer, aim at bringing the highest cost-performance ratio computers to our students when you purchase on campus. This year we have 4 brands in our program: Apple, Dell, Lenovo & Microsoft. The detailed model list and pricing information will be announced soon. *訂購貨品會於訂購截止（14／9）後，七個工作天內送到。貨品到達後，會有電郵提醒同學憑收據拿取訂購貨品。並退回折扣後剩餘的金額。

The first Tea Gathering on University hall policies has been successfully organised on 12/11 Thursday, where participants from different background had a fruitful discussion on the problems and possible solutions in the future. Main points of the discussion is summarised below. You are also welcomed to join our future sessions of tea gathering for further discussions on Students’ Union and University policies.

七月初，學生會成員打算為脫漆情況嚴重的青蛙路十二大字補色，但準備上油之際，被學校保安上前制止。及後，學生會主動約見校方高層，會面期間，高層只一再強調學校底線是絕不容許重漆，並指若同學堅持想法，大學將不惜容讓警方介入。我們對校方阻撓青蛙路補色及指容許警方進入校園表示極度失望及痛心。同學本應是校園公共空間規劃的重要一環，現校方刻意排拒同學聲音，我們唯有以行動重奪校園空間的自主權。
